Upfirst AI receptionist: pricing, features and what we test

Priced per call rather than per minute, with spam blocking and a long list of CRM integrations.

What it is and who it is for

A factual profile, not a review or a ranking.

Upfirst is an AI receptionist that answers around the clock, sends call summaries, transfers calls and books appointments. It lists spam blocking and support for more than 35 languages.

Unlike most products in the benchmark, Upfirst prices its plans by the number of calls: 30, 90, 300 or 600 a month, from $24.95 to $299. A spam call that is blocked well is a call that does not use up the plan.

It publishes integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel, Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly and Zapier, and targets law firms, real estate, contractors, HVAC, property management and financial services.

How the benchmark scores products

What our test calls will check

Every product is scored against the full nine category rubric. Given what Upfirst publishes, these are the calls we will look at most closely.

  • 01Spam blocking: obvious robocall style calls, and real callers who sound hurried or unusual, to see which get through
  • 02Call summaries compared line by line with what the caller actually said
  • 03Transfers during and outside business hours
  • 04Calls in a language other than English, if the reference setup enables it

Rubric categories: R1 Greeting and identification, R2 Understanding intent, R3 Booking accuracy, R4 Handoff to a human, R5 After hours and urgent calls, R6 Edge cases, R7 Invented information, R8 Latency and talk-over, R9 Message accuracy.
